| General Comments |
To ensure your walk is fun and comfortable, try to walk between April and September when the weather and track conditions are at their best. Highlights of the Buujan Quiiniira Walk include: spectacular waterfalls and gorges; creek crossings; rainforests; tropical savannah woodland; and remote bush camping. The Track is a difficult 37.5 kilometre walk and will take approximately two days to complete.
The Buujan Quiinbirra walk may be closed during wet weather when flooding or high river levels can make the walk unsafe. Camping in Girringun National Park and along the Wet Tropics Great Walk requires a camping permit and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. The Buujan Quiinbiira walk is remote and isolated. Walkers must be well prepared and responsible for their own safety. Consider your ability and the track conditions carefully before setting out. Be aware that estuarine crocodiles may be encountered in waterholes, creeks and rivers along the walk. Ensure you carry adequate drinking water. For a more enjoyable experience walk in the early morning.

| How to get There |
Buujan Quiibiira Walk goes from Wallaman Falls to Yamanie. Wallaman Falls is 51 kilometres drive from Ingham, including 30 kilometres of unsealed road. Travel 8 kilometres west of Ingham to Trebonne and turn left. Follow the signs to Wallaman Falls, over the Stone River and up the coastal range. The road climbs steeply up the range and is slippery when wet. Caravans and trailers are not recommended. Cassowaries are sometimes seen in the rainforest sections, so please drive carefully. The Yamanie Section of Girringun National Park is 60 kilometres from Ingham, about a 45 minute drive. Travel west from Ingham along Abergowrie Road. At the end of the road you will find a gate - the entrance to the park. Please ensure you close the gate behind you. Beyond the gate, four wheel drive vehicles are recommended.
