Bowling Green Bay NP

This park is the largest national park between Bowen and Townsville.Mostly made up of rugged granite mountains. coastal wetlands, saltpans and mangroves cover much of this coastal park. Alligator Creek flows through the park.

Things to do

Have a picnic or camp at Alligator Creek. There are good amenities found within the park, with hot showers and wood barbecues available in the camping area.

There are plenty of wildlife within this park, so its an opportunity to go spotlighting at night. Follow Alligator Creek, along to the falls.

Please wear a hat and sunscreen and take plenty of drinking water. Please stay on the walking tracks and be aware of loose rocks & vegetation around you.

Accessibility

There is a 100m boardwalk along Alligator Creek and the amenities are wheelchair-accessible.

Getting There

Turn off the Bruce Highway 28km south of Townsville or 59km north of Ayr. Drive 6km to the park.
