Liquid Gold Tropical Discovery Trail

Spend a relaxing 2-day drive viewing National Parks, sugarcane fields and meeting the locals. Observe an abundance of wildlife particularly birds. Learn about the local history including legendary ghost stories in historic Ravenswood. Visit Plantation Park to climb and take a photo of Gubullamunda, the totem for the local indigenous people or visit one of the lookouts along the way.

Paluma Tropical Discovery Trail

The 279km Paluma Tropical Discovery Trail is a 2-day journey exposing visitors to uncrowded beaches, the southern end of the Wet Tropics Rainforest and sub tropical terrain. Cattle Stations and the oldest pub in North Queensland can be found along this trail, as well as remnants of the tin mining industry and World War II. This trail is part of the natural environment sub region, the Great Green Way and showcases a picturesque region of contrasts from beaches, cool mountain ranges, villages, rivers, lookouts, outback and grazing country.

Western Heritage Tropical Discovery Trail

This tour includes the heritage goldmining town of Charters Towers, he outback and wetlands. Encompassing a range of Australian experiences, the southern region includes rivers, mountain ranges, geological formations and an abundance of flora and fauna. The small rural communities offer the visitor agricultural history, culture and great stories.

Hinchinbrook Tropical Discovery Trail

Starting from Ingham, visitors can experience the delights of beaches, rivers, valleys, a dormant volcano, wetlands, sugarcane and Australia's highest single drop waterfall: Wallaman Falls. World Heritage Listed Rainforest and Reef, friendly country folk and spectacular coastal and island views are guaranteed in Hinchinbrook, part of the Great Green Way.

Canecutter Heritage Tropical Discovery Trail

This relaxing, scenic 162km drive takes you from the Art Deco architecture of Innisfail, to the captivating charm of lost castles and romantic dreams, passing through lush sugarcane fields and rainforest. This drive gives you a real "taste" of the tropics - including sampling tropical fruit wines and fresh exotic fruits.

Starting from Townsville or Cairns, the 457km Great Green Way Tropical Discovery Trail encompasses the World Heritage Listed Wet Tropics Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef, islands, waterfalls, wetlands, farming areas and friendly country towns. It's the perfect drive to experience coastal North Queensland.
